NEW ROOFS!

THE “NEW” CLOVER BEND CAMPUS

There is a new look at the Clover Bend Historic Preservation Association Museum. There are new roofs on all the campus buildings.
The pictures accompanying this article “show off” the new green roofs that have been installed on Old Main, the Gymnasium, the Home Economics Cottage, the Smith-Hughes (Agriculture) Building, the Lunchroom, and the Pavilion.
The roofs are part of a grant from the Economic Development Administration that was made available due to the widespread damage caused by Hurricane “Ike” in 2008.   US Congressman Marion Berry was very helpful in assisting the CBHPA to obtain this grant.
In addition to the installation of new roofs, there will be other extensive work done on the buildings.
Please plan on attending this year’s Clover Bend Reunion  (Friday and Saturday before Memorial Day, May 28 and 29)! You will want to see all the new work and upgrades for yourself.
